World Book Day – Virtual Author Visits For Schools
The countdown to World Book Day 2021 is on and my mission to help ‘make every day a book day’ in primary schools is continuing…
With my ‘real life’ author visits on hold during lockdown, I want to spread some ‘virtual’ joy to children both in school and at home.
This year, I’m helping as many primary schools as possible to mark World Book Day by delivering virtual author visits LIVE ONLINE. These short assembly-style sessions are designed to engage, inspire and entertain children from Early Years, right through to Year 6.
Featuring my inspiring author journey and interactive storytelling with my rhyming picture book Fred The Fire-Sneezing Dragon, I also host an author Q&A with the children.
My book tells the heartwarming rhyming tale of Fred, a lovable young dragon whose fiery sneezes keep causing chaos at school. He is teased by his classmates, until he accidentally saves the day.
The children will learn the simple actions, join in and have fun as they ‘sneeze-along’ with Fred. Ah-choo!
Schools can enjoy a FREE virtual visit, simply by purchasing signed copies of my books. All sessions are run exclusively for individual schools and delivered via Zoom.
Multiple computers (up to 100 in total) able to access each live Zoom session. This enables pupils both in school and those children learning from home with online access to view the live presentation.
I currently have morning and afternoon slots available to book during the week of World Book Day (Thursday 4 March 2021).
