Let’s ‘Make Every Day A Book Day’ In Primary Schools
Now that the excitement of World Book Day 2022 has faded, it’s back to my mission – helping teachers to ‘make every day a book day’ in primary schools.
My primary school author visits focus on bringing books to life, involving children in the storytelling and having fun. Last week I visited two primary schools in the Derbyshire area and scored top marks on the feedback forms I handed out to teachers. I really do love delivering my interactive author visits, so it’s wonderful to know that they are appreciated!
Here’s a sample of the latest feedback I received:-
“The best thing about today’s author visit was that it was very interactive. The storytelling session was fun, engaging, creative, friendly, entertaining and inspiring. I would rate the author visit 10 out of 10 – we all really enjoyed it. Thank you – you were very inspiring for the children.” – Sian Roberts, Year 2 Teacher, Stanton Primary School, Burton on Trent.
My storytelling sessions are ideal for engaging, entertaining and inspiring children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 classes. I’m also skilled at adapting my presentation style to suit Key Stage 2 pupils, right through to Year 6. I particularly enjoy presenting in assemblies, getting everyone involved and inspiring young readers and budding writers from across the whole school!
